General conditions

The guest shall undertake under all the General Conditions for reservation and accommodation. With the acceptance of this General Conditions you confirm you have carefully read all the conditions and contractual obligations.

Definitions

Lodge of the Park means the entity that is responsible for the Locanda del Parco di Portofino: the managing institution Ente Parco di Portofino, with legal head office in Viale Rainusso 1 in Santa Margherita Ligure (GE) Italy.

Prices

The applicable price for the services is the one indicated in the offer or in the travel package edited on the internet site of the lodge. Unless otherwise stated, the booked services cannot be cumulated with other packages or special offers. In case of any modification to the booking with respect to the offer, the official prices will be applied. All the services, of any kind, which are not listed in the included services, can be paid by the guest directly at the Locanda del Parco. Unexpended services will not be refunded.

Prices and early cancellation

Standard prices:
In case of early cancellation, Locanda del Parco will apply the following cancellation fees and conditions:
• Until 5 days before arrival, the payment will be refunded (excluded bank charges for reimbursement).
• From 4 days before arrival, until arrival day, the payment will be withheld.
"Special offers", best price for special packages and Coupons:
In case of early cancellation, Locanda del Parco will apply the following cancellation fees and conditions:
• Until 14 days before arrival, the payment will be refunded (excluded bank charges for reimbursement).
• From 13 days before arrival, until arrival day, the payment will be withheld.

By accepting the booking conditions, the guest declares that he/she has understood that in case of bed weather and/or rough sea the ferry service can be suspended. In this case the only way to reach or leave the Lodge is on foot. The guest will hold the Lodge harmless from any related inconvenience.

Early Check-Out:

If the guest decides to Check-Out earlier than the booked date, the Locanda del Parco will withhold the full amount payed for the accommodation and, in case of extra services, the Guest will have to pay the full price for all the used services.

The cancellation fee will be not applied in case the reservation is passed on to another person and/or family.

Check-in / Check-out

On the date of arrival, the Guest shall be entitled to move into the rented room from 3.00 p.m. In case of delay, the Guest will have to inform the Locanda del Parco by phone call.

On the date of departure, the rented room has to be vacated by 10.30.

The Locanda del Parco shall be entitled to charge 50% of the price for another day if the rented room is not vacated in time.

In case the late checkout creates inconvenience to other guests due to a long waiting time, the Locanda del Parco shall be entitled to charge 50% of the price for another accommodation day.

Reservation documents

The reservation documents are sent by e-mail to the Guest and count as confirmation of the reservation.

Travel documents

The Guests have to submit their travel documents and ID. Those documents have to be valid and recognized by the Italian Republic. In case of invalid documents the Guest shall not be admitted and will have to compensate the damage to the Locanda del Parco by paying the full price for the booked period. The costs for duplication of lost or stolen travel documents and/or ID during the period of residence are shall be borne by the Guest. The Locanda del Parco is not responsible for theft or loss.

Complaints

In the interest of the Guest, any complain should be discussed on the spot. In case, despite his/her complain, the Guest does not receive the booked services, he/she has to reformulate the complaint at the reception, detailing the missed services. The written declaration of missed services must be attached to the complaint. The complaint in writing must be sent by the Guest within 8 days from the checkout. After this date the Locanda del Parco is not obliged to consider the complaint. In order to get to grips with the complaint the Guest must respect the rule of “discussion on the spot with written declaration” and the sending deadline. The Locanda del Parco has to reply to the complaint in writing. The Locanda del Parco will endeavour only with the complaints that could not be solved on the spot. During the expected time needed to solve the complaint, the Guest will not try to get help from third parties, referees of other institutions or media in general. Furthermore, in the same period, the Guest will not challenge before any legal institution or local court. The maximum amount for compensation according to the complaint cannot exceed the share of the accommodation or the service for which the complaint is placed and cannot include the extra services used apart from the accommodation. The Guest and the Locanda del Parco will resolve the dispute making an agreement between the parties.

Obligations of the Locanda del Parco Portofino

The Locanda del Parco Portofino shall be obliged ensure that the booked services are provided, shall respect the rights and the interests of the guest according to the good regulations of tourism. The Locanda del Parco Portofino has to provide all the agreed services for the chosen arrangement and has to answer for non-rendered or partially-rendered services. All the services and obligations will be rendered according to best practice, except for reasons of force majeure, like bed weather conditions or other adverse conditions. If possible, the Locanda del Parco will offer alternative solutions. The Locanda del Parco Portofino is not obliged to render services outside this Conditions and Instructions.

Obligations of the guest

The Guest is obliged to take in account and respect the Italian low, to respect the rules of social coexistence and to cooperate with the lodge manager. The Guest shall be liable for any damage caused, in particular for any damage caused by non-compliance with the contract and the general conditions. The Guest shall pay for on the site.

Final provisions

The provisions on reservation and accommodation form part of the contract that the Guest concludes with the Locanda del Parco. With the down payment the Guest fully accepts the programme and the conditions of the reservation and of the accommodation.
